Thanks for all the kind words about my post yesterday. I may have lost some followers, but in the end the ones that stuck around are the ones that matter.. and I love you all.
About two months ago I did this post on the 15 Songs I'll Never Skip and you guys loved it so much that I decided to do a round two. There were some songs that didn't make the first one that I just had to mention the second time around!
For those of you who are new to the idea, it's essentially a list of songs that I will never skip when my iPod is on shuffle. After long road trips back and forth to Oklahoma for college, I quickly learned which songs I didn't like.. and which songs I just couldn't live without.
one. Gavin DeGraw "Cop Stop"
Back in the day (aka before May 2008), Cop Stop used to only be a song that Gavin sang at concerts. It was always one of my favorites and I was always so excited to hear him sing it live. When he released his self titled second album in 2008, he finally wised up and recorded the song so I could listen to it on the regs! Thanks boo :) He doesn't play it live anymore, but you have to watch this video because it's from 2008 and shows exactly why I love to see him in concert over and over.
two. The Fray "Look After You"
This song takes me right back to my senior year of high school. That was the year I first found The Fray and I listened to this whole CD on repeat for quite some time. I have no idea how I managed to skip this song (let alone any Fray song) on my first list.
three. Rihanna "Rude Boy"
This one actually has a story behind it. This song came out the spring semester of my Junior year of college and I think I must have heard it at least 200 times when we were out and about. Now when I hear it, it takes me back to fun times with my best friends!
four. Tal Bachman "She's So High"
This is a classic 90's song and I love 90's music as you'll see later on in the list!
five. John Mayer "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room"
This song will always be one of my favorite, and in my opinion best of John Mayer's songs. I have spent more times than I can count listening to this song on repeat when I was sad or upset about something. To this day, it always helps soothe my mood.
six. Florence + The Machine "Cosmic Love"
One of the more recent songs on my list but I'm not any less obsessed with it. I could pretty much listen to anything by Florence and be happy but this song in particular is one of my favorites. I've already missed seeing her live several times and I won't miss it the next time around!
seven. Train "Meet Virginia"
Another classic 90's song! I actually can't stand Train and even left their concert early because the lead singer gets on my nerves, but this song I can listen to over and over. So good.
eight. Maroon 5 "Misery (acoustic version)"
This is a Maroon 5 gem that most people have never heard unless they purchased the deluxe iTunes CD of "Hands All Over". Dont' get me wrong I love anything and everything Maroon 5, but this song highlights Adam Levine's amazing voice and I could listen over and over.
nine. Citizen Cope "Bullet and a Target"
Does anyone want to guess which TV show this was featured on which in turn lead me to being obsessed with Citizen Cope for years? One Tree Hill. Yep, the first time I heard this song was on the show in like 2005 and immediately downloaded the song and the rest is history.
ten. Coldplay "Yellow"
I had a hard time picking this song over "The Scientist" because they are both two of my favorites but this one just a bit more. I miss the old Coldplay music. I don't think I've liked any of their new stuff anywhere near as much as the old.
eleven. Eric Hutchinson "Okay, It's Alright With Me"
This song played in the store I worked at in college probably a million times and I never got sick of it. That must mean I really like it ;)
twelve. The Kooks "She Moves in Her Own Way"
I like this band, but I don't love them.. except when it comes to this song! I first heard it in high school at the apartment of this guy I had a major crush on so of course I became obsessed with it.
thirteen. Jason Derulo "Ridin' Solo"
Tell me that isn't the best song to listen to when you're getting ready to go out at night? This song instantly puts me in a good mood.
fourteen. Carrie Underwood "Undo It"
Best Carrie Underwood song ever. I thoroughly enjoy singing this song at the top of my lungs when I'm driving in the car. It's excellent therapy!
fifteen. Hanson "What Christmas Means to Me"
Do you like how I snuck a Christmas song in here? This is and always will be my absolute favorite Christmas song. One of my favorite memories from college is listening to this song on repeat while studying for finals with my dorm mates freshman year!
What songs will you never skip on shuffle? And more importantly do we share any of the same ones?
Have a great Thursday!

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room is one of my favorite songs ever. It's just so perfect on those melancholy days. And my favorite Maroon 5 songs have to be the acoustic ones..Adam Levine's voice is like silk and he's not bad to look at either ;)

I have the same John Mayer, The Fray and Florence songs on repeat constantly! Great taste in music, girlfriend :)
We have such different music tastes. I've never heard of most of these. Is it because you need slow music for all of that LEGAL pot smoking you're doing on Colorado? And when do I get to visit you? ;)
the fray, coldplay, john mayer, maroon5.. LOVE
Love your taste In music
Meet Virginia is seriously one of the best songs ever. That being said, I hate every other song by Train, and the singer gets on my nerves also!
