Hi Pretties!
So I have a confession, for the past two or three weeks I fell almost completely off of my health kick. I mean I was still eating pretty healthy minus a few delicious meals here and there, but my workouts were seriously slacking. Work has gotten increasingly busier and by the time 4:30pm rolls around all I want to do is lay down and turn my brain off.
So I have a solution.. morning workouts. Getting up at 4:15, getting to the gym, and knocking out a workout by 6:00am. Not only do I get it out of the way, but I go to work feeling energized. Today was Day 1 and I don't hate it. I'm hoping to stick it out the rest of this week and I'll let you know next week how it's going!
I've also had a few people ask me for tips on food prepping and I think I will get a post together soon, but in the mean time you can check out my sweet friend Faith who has a great post on the topic!
Today I'm really excited because I get to introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers lately, Ashley.
Ashley is a newlywed that lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband and kitties. I love that her blog has a good mix of everything! You will find stories about love and life, yummy recipes, and lots of football. I asked her some questions so you can get to know her better..
1. One of the first thing I noticed is that you're a huge football fan! What's your favorite thing about football?
Where to even begin? I love the camaraderie I feel with fellow fans of my team, I love the excitement pulsing through my blood during every second of the game, and I love having silly little superstitions that I totally believe affect the outcome of the game :)
2. Your most embarrassing moment.
Unfortunately, I have more than a few, but this one in particular sticks out in my mind. During the third week of my freshman year of college, my flip flop got caught on a step, and I went sailing down two flights of outdoor, concrete steps. There were tons of people around, and no one offered to help me up or ask if I was ok. I ended up completely busting my foot, and had to spend some time on crutches – not exactly a great way to make a good first impression in college!
3. I read your adorable love story and noticed that you and your husband have been married for over a year. What's the best part about being married?
I totally realize that this sounds cliché, but it’s pretty awesome to live and share a life with your best friend. It’s nice to know that we always have each other’s back when times get tough, and he really does motivate me to be the best version of myself. Oh, and he’s really good at keeping the house clean, which is a plus!
4. 3 Things that you want people to know if they are going to read your blog.
1. I post a lot of recipes, but they’re all super easy – I promise that if I post it, it’s completely doable for any level of cook.
2. My husband and I watch a ridiculous amount of TV (any Breaking Baddicts out there??), so please don’t judge us if I say that we watched 16 episodes of a show on any given weekend.
3. You should fully expect a weekly picture of me in a Steelers jersey during my Weekend Snapshot posts for the remainder of football season.
5. You ask me a question and I answer it. You know for fun haha.
I am perpetually jealous of your hair – how do you get it to look amazing all the time?? (or at least in every picture on your blog) Good question Ashley! I get this one a lot and I can tell you this.. I take really good care of it. I only wash and style it every three days which may seem gross, but it keeps your hair from drying our and breaking. I also use oils to infuse moisture back into it and make it shiny. Look for Moroccan Oil and use it sparingly :)
Want to learn more about Ashley? Check out some of my favorite posts that I think you'll love: the one where she explains the joys of football for the ladies, the one where she makes delicious strawberry crepes, the one where she reflects on a year of marriage, and the one where she makes the perfect snack for watching Football!
