I just found out that this is being made and I am SO excited.
Monsters Inc. is definitely my favorite Disney movie.

Hi Lovies!

First of all, thank you all for the sweet messages yesterday.
An estimated 300 homes were destroyed on Tuesday, but luckily the wind was not as bad yesterday.
Colorado Springs isn't out of the woods yet but at least the fire is somewhat contained.

I wish I had something more uplifting to write today but my mind is consumed with this.

The Waldo Canyon fire is destroying the beautiful city that I grew up in.

Up until last night they were able to keep the fire from reaching homes, but with the wind and heat, the fire exploded and has gone on to destroy hundreds of homes. 

I am so thankful that all of my family is safe and out of harms way, but it doesn't make it any less heartbreaking for the people that are losing their homes and belongings.

These pictures make me sick to my stomach but I have to share them.

When something like this happens, it really makes everything else seem so small.

Over 32,000 people have been evacuated because their homes are in risk of being caught in the flames.

The smoke got so bad that they closed the interstate that runs through the middle of the city.

The smoke was making the road pitch black and dangerous. 

People were quoted as saying it looked like "an apocalypse."

How absolutely terrifying.

The fire has reached the edge of the Air Force Academy, which has now been evacuated. 

The fire also managed to reach the Flying W Ranch, a local tourist attraction that has been around for over 60 years, and burned it down to the ground. 

Please if you do anything today, take some time to send all of your good thoughts to Colorado Springs.

They need it desperately. 

They need rain, and they need a lot of it.

It's time for another round of my
Fashions Hits & Misses

I also wanted to give my thoughts on the Kardashian interview that Oprah did..
so I thought I'd combine the two.
Let's do fashion first!

Kim has been all over Europe working and hanging out with Kanye while he's on tour.
She's had some great outfits and some not so great outfits.
Something that really struck me as I flipped through photos?
When Kim dresses in something elegant and covered up she looks gorgeous,
but when she shows skin she looks sort of raunchy.
This shouldn't come as a surprise because it's a common fashion rule:
Wear something fitted but not revealing.
You want to leave them guessing and not show it all right away.

Hits

Misses

No.. just no.
Just because it's long sleeved doesn't mean you should show off cleavage and legs.
Plus the sleeves seem bulky to me.
What are those boots?! Are they velvet?
They hit at such an awkward part of the leg too.
It makes her look really short!
As you can tell I'm really not a fan of them :)

I just wanted to point out that she does know how to dress her body properly..
she just doesn't do it all of the time!
She needs to find a stylist that will tell her when something isn't flattering.
Then again maybe she just doesn't care?

Now let's talk Oprah interview.


I'm not going to lie, I'm not the biggest Karsashian fan out there,
but they don't bug me as much as they bug other people.
While I don't think that you should try to sell your own version of just about everything,
I do think they are funny and a loving family to one another. 

I'm not sure how other people felt, but I thought Kim was very kind and honest in her interview.
Yes, marrying Kris was probably not her best decision, but people make mistakes.
The girl wants a husband and a family and she jumped in too quickly.
I thought she handled herself well and answered the questions in the best way possible.
She didn't bash Kris and she also didn't talk too much about Kanye.
I think she learned a lot from the experience and that's really all anyone can do.

I also love love love Khloe and Lamar.
They are such a sweet couple and you can tell they really love each other.
Plus they have such a fun dynamic in their relationship that I think it really cute.

Basically what I'm trying to say, is that yes they are very present in the media.
I also think that alot of what they do get's blown out of proportion.
At the end of the day they are an extremely close and loving family and that's enough to make me like them.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I know many of you feel differently :)

Am I the only one.. that thinks bacon is sick nasty?

Well actually, yes I think I am the only one.

I think it is SO gross and won't eat anything that contains it.

Am I the only one.. who throws off my work clothes and washes my face the second I get home?

I like to be comfy okay?
Plus, it keeps me from going out on the weekdays, staying out late, and being sleepy at work the next day.
 Usually.

Am I the only one.. that likes plain M&M's?

No peanuts, almonds, or pretzels.. just chocolate!

Am I the only one.. who can watch hours of Law and Order: SVU and not get bored?

My dad is the same way so I think I may get it from him!
I love that show but I have to say it's not the same without Elliot Stabler.
He's pretty bad-ass on True Blood though!
 

Am I the only one.. that thinks blog land is getting a little cray cray?
You know what I'm talking about.
All I have to say is that I do whatever I want, whenever I want and if someone doesn't like it..
that's too damn bad.

I seriously think I get a package from them every other day.
I'm currently lusting over this beauty.

Wow that sounds so lame!
But seriously, could the kid be any more genuine and grateful?
Talk about not letting it get to your head.
And yes.. I did download his new CD immediately after watching.
