In case you're new around here or missed out earlier, every week I round up my favorite things from Twitter land and post them for all of you along with my commentary.

Time for the tweets..

I agree with Jill, but also I'm not sure I'd ever purchase a Boudoir session from Living Social period. Sketch.



Voice mails are my least favorite thing ever. Especially when they say.. "Hey it's me, call me back!" No.


What a coincidence Staci, that's my motto too. Minus that "My husband is king!" crap. Hail to the nah.


I can't remember who introduced me to Candy Crush but I both hate and love you. Obsessed is an understatement. Glad Madison agrees!


Totally agree with Katie. I mean can my parents hook me up with an Easter dress or an Easter basket? Personally, I don't think there is such a thing as "too old".


The news of their divorce disturbed me way more than it should, especially since Atlanta is my least favorite Real Housewives franchise.


Sometimes a little humor is great to diffuse the tension.. Thanks Whitney!


This quite literally pains me to say but, I agree with Jessica Biel-Timberlake.. and I hate it.


Just another piece of Daily Tay Twitter gold. Nailed it my friend, nailed it.


I mean really. Is there anything more attractive than an attractive man who is also funny? No there is not.


The adventures of Tiff's cat J.Meoww never cease to amuse me. I fear one day that cat will do real damage.. let's hope it's a burglar.


This might be the biggest blog faux pas there is.. don't try and leave a comment if you don't read the post. If you do I might go all Heleney on you. Duh.

Hi Dolls!

Last night, while I was getting ready for bed I realized that I had a routine. Wash my face, brush my teeth, take my contacts out, and once I've laid my head down on the pillow the last thing I do before I close my eyes? Grab my iPhone and scroll through my social media feeds. I know there are other people that do this as well so I started thinking of other things that indicated you might be addicted to Social Media.  
PS. This is all in good fun. I think at this point it might just be an addiction to all things technology that we're all just pretending we don't have right?


You Might Be a Social Media Addict if..


one. You have an account for every single social media outlet.. Blogger, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Vine, Klout, etc. If it's out there and available to the masses, you have it and use it on the regs.

two. You check your account multiple times per day and get mad or annoyed when you can scroll back to the last place you left. In case you're wondering, Twitter and Instagram are the worst about this! I feel like I'm missing out if there are things I haven't seen.

three. You follow a lot of celebrities. Some people only follow friends and family, and some people only follow celebrities. I like a good mix of both to keep things interesting.

four. You take a lot of pictures. You may do this if anyways, but if you're doing it for the sole purpose of sharing on one or more of your many accounts then well you know where I'm going with this..

five. You follow over 500 people. I mean think about it, that is a lot of people.. and I follow close to 700 on just Twitter alone. The more material the better I say!

six. If people know what you're doing a good majority of the time. I sometimes feel like an over sharer, but if I'm doing something cool or funny.. my followers know about it.

seven. You have a weekly blog post entirely dedicated to a form of social media. No, not just me.. I'm looking at all of you Instagram lovers too.


Speaking of social media I have two favors to ask all of you wonderful people..

First, I started a (open to all Colorado ladies if you're willing to come to Denver for meet-ups) and we only have a few likes right now. If you or anyone you know might be interested, please and like the page. Amanda from The Pretty Pinhead and I are trying to get a meet-up in the works and we'd like as many people to know about as possible!


Second, many of already know Shanna from Because Shanna Said So. Well she has this amazing opportunity to be an ambassador for Wallis brands and she needs our help. and vote for her if you have just a second! If anyone deserves it, it's her so please help a fellow blogger out!

Yesterday was awesome.

I love when bloggers come together and have a love fest. It makes me happy and so glad to be a part of this community. I really want to make an effort to stay positive as much as I possibly can. It's easy to get negative, discouraged, hurt and a multitude of other things and nobody is perfect, but it's time to focus on the good and the happy.

Here's some other things that are making my happy lately..

one. OneRepublic "Native"



This is their third album and their first release since 2011. It was a long time coming and it was so worth the wait. In case you're not familiar, Ryan Tedder (the lead singer) is also a famous song writer who has worked with everyone from Adele to Gavin DeGraw. He is so talented and I think he saves his best ideas for OneRepublic. You can just hear the pure, raw talent that comes from these guys. My stand out favorites so far are "Counting Stars" and "Something I Need".

two. Kindle Paperwhite


I love to read and I've had my Barnes & Noble Nook for over two years. I decided it was time to upgrade when I realized that not only are Kindles easier to use, but they also allow you to trade and share books which is something not available on a Nook. I did some research and decided on the new Paperwhite because I knew I was only going to use it for reading, it has a back light and anti glare, holds 1000+ books, and was only $119. Sold!  Loving everything about it so far.

three. Marriage Equality


As most of you know, there are some pretty big things being discussed at the Supreme Court right now. I don't usually talk too much about anything too controversial but here's the thing.. it gives me so much joy to scroll through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Blogger and see so many people in support of something so important. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and this is mine..  Love is love is love.

four. Real Housewives of Orange County


I see you rolling your eyes at me.. this is the original season and my most favorite and dammit I'm excited for it to come back on next week. They have gone through more girls than I can even keep track of. See that extremely skinny girl on the far right? Apparently she's the newest one and her name is Lydia. She looks like a bobble head no? Also, I thought Alexis quit? She must have needed the money to keep Alexis Couture going. Rumor has it that Laurie will also be making an appearance. Remember her? Should be a good season!

five. Lily 


It's been awhile since this nugget has had a shout out on the ole blog and believe me she's not happy about it. This little seven pound ball of energy and love gives me more joy than I can say.. she's also a pain in my ass but that's beside the point. Love her to pieces! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so her and I can hangout at the dog park. She likes to meet new friends and I hope there are attractive men there. Win, win!

What's making you happy lately?

I had today's post planned out in my head. It's Tuesday so I usually try to do something travel or fashion related.. because at some point I picked up a bit of a routine. Do this one day and do that the next. There's nothing wrong with that I suppose, but it's also not me. I've never had rules for this blog and I don't want to start now. So today won't be about travel and it won't be about fashion. Today I'm just going to write and hope that what I end up with makes sense.



The first thing I do every morning is scroll through Twitter and this morning I saw not one but two posts that struck a chord with me. First my sweet Rachel, and then Jen's great post. I started to think that I feel like I've gotten away from the basics of blogging. Why did I start this in the first place? It wasn't to be the best. It wasn't to make money. It was a way for me to express myself and hopefully find people that felt the same.

I try my best to stay positive on here. That's not say I'm never negative. Oh, I'm negative and sometimes it's a problem. I'm also insecure. It comes and it goes. Sometimes I feel on top of the world. I've got a lot going for me and great people to share it with. Other days I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Am I doing this right? Do people really like this? That inner voice can be a godsend and also a demon. Bare with me here, I have no idea where I'm going with this...

I can come off as the nicest girl around sometimes. I'm willing to help or be there for anyone that needs it. I know that I can also come off as a bitch. I don't hold back on how I really feel and I speak without thinking how it might be perceived. It all depends on the day, and believe me those two sides are constantly fighting inside me. I want to be real and raw but I'm also terrified that people won't like me.

Sometimes this blogging thing feels like high school and let me tell you high school was hell for me. I hated it with every ounce of my being. I know how it feels to be treated poorly, called names, and pushed around. I vowed that I would never let blogging get like that for me and I certainly wouldn't let it be the other way around either.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I loved Rachel and Jen's posts today for a reason.. the same reason that I also loved Brin's post yesterday and Becka's post today. It's important that we all remember to stick to our guns. Say how we feel and be honest with ourselves and anyone that is willing to listen. We shouldn't be pushing others down, we should be lifting others up! Those are the posts that inspire me and help me be a better blogger and I hope they do the same for you.



Sorry for the rambles today but I hope it all made sense. Sometimes you just have to let the words come and then let them fall as they will.

PS. This marks day four that I've mentioned him on my blog. I didn't plan on having Timberweek, it chose me.


My favorite kinds of celebrities are the ones that remind us that they are in fact human. This goes without saying, but no doesn't count as one of those.


There are no words the amount of love I had for Lizzie McGuire. I wish I still had my copy of the CD or movie like Ty Ty.


She's just being Miley. Pure gold this week Miles, pure gold.
