Dysfunctional Shenanigans!

Hi Lovies!

I dreaded getting up this morning because I knew it was a day where I was going to wash, dry, and curl my hair. Some people might think it's gross but I only wash my hair every 2-3 days because a) it's a lot of work and b) it's better for your hair. Anyways, while I was drying this mop and sweating up a storm I wondered if you burn any calories while doing so.. turns out you do!

100 calories if you blow dry and straighten your hair! Hey, it's better than nothing right?

Today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers
Sammantha from Dysfunctional Ever After!

Samm is a lifestyle blogger from Minnesota (with a pretty awesome name, just saying) and one of the things I love about her is how open and honest she is with her readers. She's going to tell it like it is and she doesn't care what you think about it. That is so refreshing in a sea of bloggers that sometimes seem like they just want to do what they can to fit in. You know when you're visiting her blog that you're seeing the real Samm.

1. Why "Dysfunctional Ever After"? How did you come up with your blog name and what does it mean?
I first started blogging as a way to document my wedding planning and transition from a college student to a wife. I had every intention of it being not just my blog, but also my husband's. What a joke, right? Right. You always hear about "happily ever after", but for me and my relationship, I knew better. We (mostly I) are dysfunctional as hell. Nothing makes sense. Nothing works. The title just fit.

2. Your best moment from blogging thus far?
Honestly, the people I've met. I know that's the cliche answer, but it's the truth! And I don't only mean the awesome ladies I've met and formed friendships with -- but also the bat shit insane girls that offer me hours upon hours of entertainment. I love the crazies.

3. Your worst moment from blogging thus far?
Telling people about my blog. Biggest mistake of my life. It added pressure and a need to filter, I wish I could take back posting a post on my personal FB. Make it go away, Sami, make it go away!

4. A favorite tweet, yours or someone else's. Just send me the link :)
I love me some Hillary.

5. Your most embarrassing moment.
I don't get embarrassed easily. (Mainly because I have no pride or dignity.) That being said, my most embarrassing moment is from high school. (Shocking.) I played rugby and during a game my shorts were pulled down... And my spandex... And my underwear. I didn't have to stare at my ass, but I imagine others did. Not only am I still embarrassed by that moment, I'm still repenting.

6. What's the best part about being married?
My best friend is right by my side. He's my person. (That was a Grey's Anatomy reference.) That, and I can pee with the door open without worrying about him leaving me.

7. What's the worst part about being married?
He pees everywhere and suddenly it's not okay to have a pink bedroom. Whatever, Ryan.

8. 3 Things that you want people to know if they are going to read your blog.
1) It's random. One day you'll read about my love of nudity, the next about my latest Netflix binge, and the next about religion or social justice. I'm ridiculous. 2) There's very little filter happening on my end. 3) I'm not always funny, I'm not always consistent, but I'm real.

9. Your favorite thing to do in Minnesota?
Sami. This is a horrible question because it's so hard to answer! Minnesota, I'm convinced, is the best state ever.  We have so many places to go and things to see. I love going on "adventure days" with my family or friends. These days have brought me to all sorts of places, from the Worlds Largest Ball of Twine to Fort Snelling -- MN is rich in culture and history, you never get bored. Plus, with Uptown (or Downtown) Minneapolis, there's plenty to drink ;)

10. You ask me a question and I will answer it.
Do you fold or crinkle your toilet paper?
I fold it. I think that's where my mild OCD comes into play!

Want to learn more about Samm? Here are some of my favorite posts: the one where she vlogged, the one where she had an awesome night out, the one where life throws you curve balls, and the one where husbands are okay to have sometimes.

Be sure to follow along with her blog, , , and . You can thank me later!

Comments are turned off so you can go leave her some love! Catch ya on the flip side friends.
