It's kind of sad that the Academy Awards are sooo boring because the stars really know how to turn it out for this awards show!
I honestly didn't think there was anyone that looked bad so it really came down to personal opinion on dress choices.
A dress may be gorgeous, but that doesn't mean that it looks good on a particular person.
Some of the trends tonight were:
White
Off-the-Shoulder
Peplums
Structure
Long sleeves
With that said.. let's get to it!
Marchesa
Yes. They get their own category.. every time.
Stacy Keibler
I loved this dress on the runway a few weeks ago, and I love it now.
The color looks amazing on her and the dress is so chic.
Not to mention she has some pretty gorgeous arm candy!
Sandra Bullock
I adore when she wears Marchesa, especially at The Oscars and she looks phenom.
The open back trend is on point and I'm obsessed with the jeweled waist.
Not loving the pony but she needed to show off the back.
Best Dressed
Jessica Chastain
in Alexander McQueen
There is no denying she looks fabulous. I love the embroidery, it's so rich and elegant.
I love the cut and the drama of this gown, it's sort of perfect.
Jennifer Lopez
in Zuhair Murad
I'm not sure why she's at The Oscars and she did have a nip slip on stage, but..
Girfriend looks damn good.
I wasn't sure about this dress at first but upon further review I love it.
The cold shoulder cut-outs keeps the long sleeves fresh and I love the illusion.
Guiliana Rancic
in Tony Ward
So flawless. I love everything about this dress.
It looks incredible on her and the embroidery and detail is gorgeous.
I wish the hair had some volume but glad it was up to show off the neck and back of the gown.
Gwyneth Paltrow
in Tom Ford
Who would have thought that someone could wear a cape to the red carpet and look so chic?
She looks stunning and the dress was amazing without the cape as well.
The white is so clean and looks amazing.
Tina Fey
in Carolina Herrera
Custom made for her and it's amazing.
She looks so classic and elegant.
Quite possibly the best she has ever looked!
I'm just so obsessed with this dress.
Michelle Williams
in Louis Vuitton
This was a love it or hate it look and I loved it.
The color is beautiful and I adore a peplum.
I think she looks so chic in this,
this much lace can be aging but the brightness allows it.
Worst Dressed
Kristen Wiig
in J. Mendel
I love her and I want to love her wardrobe but I never do.
There is always something a little off.
This dress is actually stunning but the color does nothing for her!
If this was a pastel I think it would have been great.
Rooney Mara
in Givenchy
Again, I want to like this but I can't.
The white looks brilliant on her but I can't get over the structure on the bust.
It looks odd.
I also wish she would lighten up her hair and makeup just a bit.
Too harsh for a light, airy gown like this.
Shailene Woodley
in Valentino
How to be 19 and look 50.
It's just too much.
This girl is beautiful and this dress makes her frumpy.
I don't like anything about this look.
Emma Stone
in Giambattista Valli
I am so obsessed with her and this makes me so sad.
This would look amazing on Charlize Theron but not right for Emma.
She is so young and fresh and this ages her.
Plus how many times do we have to tell red heads not to wear red?
It's just harsh.
Viola Davis
in Vera Wang
For starters, I can't handle the orange frizzy hair.
It's The Oscars for crying out loud.
I love the color, but it makes the ruffles at the bust look like lettuce.
I actually really like it from the waist down but the bust is too much.
Berenice Bejo
in Elie Saab
I'll keep saying it.
If you are young and hot, don't wear something that ages you.
Mila Jovovich also wore Elie Saab and it looked incredible.
This color and sleeve look old and unflattering.
What were your thoughts on Oscar's fashion?
Anyone I left out that you loved/hated?
Happy Monday loves!
Can we go ahead and fast forward to the weekend already?!
