2012 Superbowl

Unless I'm watching the OSU Cowboys or sometimes the Broncos, I'm just not all that interested in watching football. With that being said, I do like to watch the Superbowl so I can see the commercials and the half time show! This year I made plans to go out to a bar and watch with one of my friends but that plan fell through so I decided to whip up some Pinterest snacks and watch the show with my Lily girl!

First, I had heard my coworkers talking about Edamame Hummus which is essentially regular hummus that substitutes Edamame for the Garbonzo beans in the dip. I don't have a food processor but I thought I could get an ok consistency with this hand chopper thing I have. It didn't really work, it minced everything really small but wouldn't make it into a paste. It still tasted great :) I used this recipe because it was pretty easy. I didn't have tahini so I used some sesame oil instead!

Next, I decided to make this yummy Cake Batter dip. I've been eyeing it and heard great things so I knew I wanted to make some. It is seriously the BEST! I would probably half the recipe in the future because now I have a ton and don't want to eat it all. I'm sure this would be a crowd pleaser! I ate mine with strawberries and nilla wafers. Also, it's super important that you make it and then let it sit in the fridge because it gets light and airy! I used this recipe, 3 ingredients could it get any easier?

Now.. COMMERCIALS! Let's talk about some of my favorites!

The Audi commercial about the Vampires made me laugh but that's probably because I'm obsessed with Vampires #sorryimnotsorry.

The M&M commercial with Vanessa Williams and the LMFAO song. I'm a sucker for that song, it's so catchy.

The dog commercials were on point! The Doritos with the Great Dane, the VW with the St. Bernard, the Budweiser Here We Go and Skechers with the running dog. Loved them all.

H&M's David Beckham. Pretty self explanatory.

The E-Trade babies never get old. There's just something so funny about a baby with an adult voice.

Acura's Jerry Seinfeld commercial also made me laugh.
I think that 's my criteria really, if it makes me laugh than I like it.

Half-Time Show..

Either you liked it or you didn't. I thought Madonna did a great job, however the LMFAO part seemed really awkward for her. Also, I really didn't care for her new song or that part of the performance. She is too old to be acting like a cheerleader. I loved all of her classic songs though! I also thought Ceelo Green was unnessecary. He get's on my nerves. For those that didn't like it, yes she's older but I hope I look that good and can do that much at her age!

Sooo... The Giants won! I couldn't care less because I was excited for The Voice to start. I love this show so much and this year is even cooler because a girl that I went to Oklahoma State with, Adley Stump, is going to be auditioning! I'm excited to find out if she makes it in or not. So tune in tonight so you can see!

Happy Monday lovies! Hope everyone's weekends were fun and relaxing!

Madonna is such a diva. I secretly loved her performance; however she needs to remember that she is no longer a tween pop star. It would be socially acceptable for her to act her age.
